Maximum Ride

FOR THOSE WHO READ IT AND HAVE NOT FINISHED FANG. DO NOT READ THIS POST. THANK YOU.

unless you do then who's stopping you really.

ANYWAYS, for 3 days I've been reading the Maximum Ride Series-the ones I haven't finished yet. You see, I bought the Final Warning a couple of months back(the 4th book) and was given Fang(the 6th book) for Christmas and decided to buy Max(the 5th book).

The "Final Warning" was a bit of a let down. Well for starters:
  • The third book was so action packed. It kept making you end up at the edge of your seat and with the Final Warning it sort died down.
  • The transition from fugitives to protectors was roughly described or made exciting.
  • The third book only left readers (well for me it did) asking WHAT. IS. GOING. TO. HAPPEN. NEXT? I mean since they destroyed everything about the Institute and the School. What else is their purpose? Max is supposed to save the world but how?
  • The Uber Director thing. WEIRD. I love the fact that they decided to add in a villain but he ended up completely irrelevant in the end seeing that they killed him easily.
  • The plot about global warming thus adding the whole Category 5 typhoon (whatever it was) was a bit I don't know. non climatic? laaame? boring? Whatever it was it just didn't really catch my attention
After reading the Final Warning, I couldn't wait to read Fang. Cos well the cover was so intriguing "Angel predicts Fang will die first. Angel is never wrong" Ooh, ominous. So I told myself if ever I had the money, I'd buy Max since it was the book between "The Final Warning" and "Fang". And since it was after Christmas and I happened to be in National Bookstore, I looked for Max and BOUGHT IT. no questions asked.

I liked it generally. I mean things started making more sense and I guess "The Final Warning" was enough of a transition for Max. It did get me pondering though because it seems that Max was losing her touch. She was too into Fang and Angel seemed to become more and more of a brat. But overall it was okay.

Once I was finished, I started reading Fang. This was a really good book. It made "The Final Warning" and "Max" a whole lot easier to understand. It made me realize on how James Patterson is no fool. He knows what's happening on one book and explains in the next. Fang explains the brattiness of Angel and the duo of Fang and Max.

Now after reading Fang I am dying DYING DYYIIIIINGG to read the next book. They say the next book is titled "Angel" and she would be more of the heroine in the book. But I seriously wouldn't want her to be. She was totally bratty in the last book and she almost killed Fang. I don't know how anyone could still forgive her after that. She clearly didn't make the decisions on her own but she still did make the decision. She wasn't completely controlled by the Voice so why did she act the way she did? Hmm. Maybe Patterson would enlighten me on the subject in the next book.

Dr. Hans is still out there. And with Fang gone, how would the flock continue knowing how much Max loved him?

CAN'T WAIT.
